In a previous life, I wielded a whisk as a pastry chef, armed with a degree in culinary arts and catering. My passion for baking and creating delicious treats was undeniable, but the demands of a full-time culinary career clashed with my desire to be present for my growing family. Enter the fortuitous discovery of Work at Home United in a magazine ad back in January 2015.
Initially skeptical, I took the plunge and found not just a business opportunity but a supportive community of amazing moms and entrepreneurs. This venture not only contributed to my family's financial well-being but also allowed me the freedom I craved as a working mom. What's more, it introduced us to a range of non-toxic, US-manufactured products that could be conveniently delivered to our doorstep.
Fast forward to January 2018, and I made the decision to shift gears completely. I embraced the role of a full-time mompreneur, focusing on building my business while savoring every precious moment with my boys. Then, 2020 threw its curveball, and amidst a global pandemic, I found myself navigating the challenges of single parenthood.
Navigating life's twists and turns, I find gratitude in the stability and flexibility offered by my business and part-time job. Balancing the demands of entrepreneurship and additional work (hopefully for only a short period of time) allows me to uphold the mom I aspire to be—attending school drop-offs, cheering at soccer games, and enjoying ice cream dates. Successfully managing the bills and financial responsibilities that come with being a single mom empowers me to craft a life that embraces both professional success and family fulfillment.
Beyond the business, my family and I revel in the simple joys of life. We bond over puzzles, embark on LEGO adventures, and indulge in movie nights. As a self-proclaimed bookworm, I find solace in the pages of a good book, constantly seeking knowledge and growth. I believe in fostering an environment where learning is not just a school activity but a way of life.
My ultimate goal is to empower parents, whether single or not, to achieve financial stability, make memories with their children, and embrace a lifestyle of conscious and affordable living.
